The model I was going to shoot for this never showed up so I used a amateur model and believe it or not this is her very first photo shoot. We pulled the monster right out of her! It was a fun night and all of the guys were really super low key guys. One in particular, the lead singer, Jim was extrordinarily good in front of the lens, making cool faces, and kicking out some wild energy for my Nikon. We all know that this is what makes for good pictures, and Im sue that Jim must have known this too. Because when I got him and looked at them it was his energy that brought tthem over the top. Just finished Sybil Dannings interview for SIRENS OF CINEMA. That involved doing two shoots for the interview itself. Writing the intro etc. etc. CARBON 14 magazine is out this month with a 6 page color signature on a series called TATTOO YOUR SOUL and the second part of my ONCE UPON A TEASE (erotic fairy tales series of 17 pics) is out this month in SIRENS OF CINEMA. I just shot Phil Varone, former drummer from SKID ROW, wearing nothing but a sock and hes getting lots of play from those. He hooked me into his pal MO COLLINS from MAD TV and shes also done movies KNOCKED UP and THE 40 YEAR OLD VIRGIN. So Ill be shooting her this month as well as FIREBALL MINISTRY and GOOD WITH GRENADES, both of them well known bands. Also MIA TYLER , Steven Tyler from Aerosmith’s daughter will be my new lensmeat this month too. Plus I have 600 photos to retouch from my DIVA DOLLS last Sunday. Then Im shooting my pal Renae Bryant and her punk band ALL OR NOTHING on the 28th of this month. But wait theres more…Im also moving into my own studio this month so as well as all of that shit I have to move into a new space. Who ever said artists were lazy?

Heres a few shots from last Friday nights “Justice Howard Gallery” at the Pin Up Cabaret in Club Vertigo on Temple Street downtown LA. Once a month the Pinup Cabaret has a themed vintage club night and last Fridays night was “Vegas” style complete with burlesque dancers and blackjack tables. I had a gallery with 15 very large prints hanging up inside of it and people liked my art so much that they stole it off the wall when the club was closing!!! Yes, 7 prints went missing and are now hanging in some ones home. I am very flattered that they liked them so much that theyd steal them, but the photographs were not signed and were merely for display so the value of the prints is negligible, since they are not personalized. As you can see it was a fun fun night and the next club night is on Nov 1st and is a Spooky Horror themed evening Victoria Vengeance dances…worth the price of admission ALONE!!!!! The shots were stuck to the wall with pushpins, as I didnt have enough lead time to get them all framed, so it was easy for someone to remove them. Not too easy though , as 5 beefy security guards were on the prowl that evening, but i guess they werent doing their job 100% that night. I mean Im flattered that it was stolen in an odd way, Im glad that someone liked it so much they wanted to own it, and that bad, but the joke is really on them as none of the pieces were signed so they dont have value to a collector. Art theives, who woulda thought?

Heres a bird I photographed on the REDONDO BEACH pier last weekend and I just thought it strange that this damn bird was sitting there with one leg. Im sure like the rest of us, he hasnt had it easy but in this case most remarkably so. Thought Id post it to share just for fun. Well not fun for the bird ,

Its a great shot of KAT VON D that I really liked on metallic paper. Since it was an “event” I thought Id shoot it and her signing the print here for posterity and show you all how cute she is! Robins a great girl and to have a “photo peer” who is not a hater is a nice suprise for me.
