The TATTOO BAR is a slick watering hole that is located in Washington D.C. and is my own private art gallery. It showcases over 40 of my best  fine art tattoo photos in  an amazing high end space that is brilliantly designed with slick shiny black metal and brushed aluminum. Some of my best tattoo images speak to the patrons from huge 6 foot by 6 foot light boxes that are backlit illuminated just like the large marquis posters you see at the movie theatres. If you want to take a peek at this smoking hawt bar with the coolest and most attractive of patrons just roll on over to K street.

A series that has NEVER been done

A while ago I started thinking about fairy tales.  And I started to wonder  “ Why isn’t there an sexier version of the classic fairy tales?”  The answer was then obvious to me!  ”Because I hadn’t done it yet!”    So, I got to work on it.  I took out my storyboarding pencil and listed my favorite fairytales that would transpose well into two dimensional photo reproduced femalians.  Snow White would be of course a given and Cinderella too. The main ones fell into place easily but in order to have the series truly original I had to make up a few of my own. Therefore “Rosebud Incinerator”, “French Black Widow”, “Snow Queen”, “Snail Girl” and a few others that weren’t classic fairy tales were born and these ones jumped straight out of my brainpan into the series.  Without my wonderful  models as muses this series would  never have come to fruition.  Tyra Banks copied my idea for her “Americas Next Top Model” series which I’m flattered by. I mean if you’re going to be ripped of why not be ripped off by the best right?  Also, Disney has also dipped its wick into Howard-essence as you can see by the Wicked Queen picture from their last movie “Enchanted”.  Since when did their Wicked Queen have gothic eyebrows and slutty red lips?

This ONCE UPON A TEASE series has been published many times both here in the states and in Europe. It ran as a cover and two-part series in “Sirens of Cinema; The Women of Television & Movies” magazine, where it was described by the editor this way:

“Once you’ve set your eyes upon this mix of Myths, Magic and Bedtime stories turned erotic, you’ll never look at fairytales the same way again. A deliciously enchanting fairytale expose from the sinfully orgasmic photography of Justice Howard and the graphic stylings of Brian Bonislawsky.  One final note on this series, it was done as a compilation of Justice Howard photos and Brian Bonislawsky’s graphics.

The photos were all taken against clean white backdrops and then Brian actually “built” the worlds in which the fairytale girls all live in.  We tried to style the graphics to match the persona of the model.  Example, raven-haired scorchy-torchy Victoria Vengeance would be graphically executed much darker and more exotic than, lets say, our blonde “Princes and the Pea” bikini fitness model.

So that’s it art lovers. 50 hours of shooting and digital mastery brings you this series “ONCE UPON A TEASE”. We sure hope you dig it!
